From 5 centuries in the vineyard of South Burgundy
The Burrier family, known in South Burgundy since more than 500 years, has owned the Château de Beauregard for 5 generations. Joseph Deshaires, maternal grand father of Joseph Burrier, bought Beauregard in 1883.
In 1945, Joseph Burrier's brother, Georges, created his own wine company in Fuissé, Maison Georges Burrier, which is also managed today by Frédéric Burrier.

Vine growing and Wine making
Château de Beauregard : the name "Beauregard", meaning nice view, comes from the beautiful sight one enjoys from the estate (which lies isolated in the middle of the vineyards), of the rocky cliffs of Solutré and Vergisson, and of the villages of Pouilly and Fuissé. This unique environment will be classified in 2006 "Grand Site de France".
An exceptionnal Estate with 36 hectares of vineyards : established in 1816 by an Empire Baron, Jean Pasquier, the Château de Beauregard covers 36 hectares of vineyards, among which 19 hectares of Pouilly Fuissé, 7 ha of Saint Véran an 8 ha of Fleurie and Moulin à Vent. It is regarded as one of the major estates of Southern Burgundy.
The white wines are vinified at Beauregard whilst an important part of the red wines are made at another family property, the former “Tournissoux House”, situated in the place known as ‘Poncié’ near the village of Fleurie.
Grapes and wine making : the vineyards are managed to promote microbial life in the soil and to encourage deep rooting of the vines. In the cellar the wines are allowed time to ferment slowly and to clarify naturally.
It is our belief that this method enables the wines to acquire the true expression of their “Terroir”.
