The wine presents a pure nose of raspberry and black cherry, with hints of blackcurrant buds; on the palate, hints of spice and breeding accompany the acidity of redcurrant, on ripe, fine tannins.

In 2002, we planted this exceptional little vineyard, the only one planted with Pinot Noir in the village of Pouilly. It's located on the Mont de Pouilly, magnificently exposed to the East on a beautiful slope 300 m above sea level. Here, the stony soils of Bathonian limestone are ideal for Pinot Noir, thanks to the quality of the brown clays on the surface, which balance out the high stoniness of the site. The stony soils reverberate the heat of the summer months, helping to ripen the grapes, while their thinness naturally limits yields. Its annual production of just 3 228-l barrels (around 900 bottles) qualifies it as 'RARE'.
