The Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly evokes ripe, white and yellow fruit, with a touch of honey. The wine is rich, structured, but well-balanced on the palate, with a touch of citrus on the finish.
In southern Burgundy, Solutré-Pouilly is one of the villages in the regional Appellation Mâcon Blanc Villages, best known for its Pouilly-Fuissé production, its Roche and its exceptional prehistoric site. Only a tiny proportion of the commune's vineyards produce Mâcon, which is why they are so interesting in terms of rarity and typicity. Château de Beauregard owns around 0.50 ha of Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly, close to its Pouilly-Fuissé vineyards, on east-facing clay-limestone soils.
