This Moulin-à-Vent has a deep ruby color. It reveals powerful aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), flowers (peony), and spices (pepper). It is well-structured, full-bodied, and balanced on the palate, with ripe, seductive tannins on the finish.
We are in southern Burgundy, in the Beaujolais region, and Moulin-à-Vent is considered the most "Burgundian" of the 10 crus, probably because of its aging potential. Total area of the AOP: 620 hectares, divided between the two villages of Romanèche-Thorins and Chénas. This cuvée takes its name from the nature of the soil from which it is produced, rich in manganese. Our plot is located south of Romanèche-Thorins, on a gentle east-facing slope, which allows the production of a serious and balanced Moulin-à-Vent.
